Now in a second career as a Division Manager with Quantum Services, Patricia “Trish” Clevinger is laying down the law in a different way.
After a career as a paralegal in criminal law, Trish was ready for the opportunity to travel and chose inventory auditing for Quantum Services in the double kwik convenience stores. Not being a stranger to law and order, she approaches her work with the kind of accuracy and integrity needed to keep stores in ship-shape. These qualities quickly won the recognition of her manager, Adam Solomon, and she moved into a manager role herself. Overseeing the Pikeville division, Trish has been able to work with store operators to impact positive changes in the stores that she services in eastern Kentucky.
Identifying Issues
Double kwik looked to Quantum Services in 2022 to improve its inventory program after having used a different auditing company. Trish was able to help the client reduce shrink and discover an issue with theft all through looking at the detail in Quantum Services’ proprietary reporting. She also pointed out where merchandise could be on the floor for purchase instead of going out of date and has prevented over-ordering before audits due to being a super-sleuth with inventory numbers. As a result, a strong relationship built on trust was formed between Trish and double kwik.
Culture Matters
Some cultural characteristics about the double kwik company are that they value family and friendships, a strong work ethic, and dependability. If that does not perfectly describe Trish, this would not be such the match that it is. In fact, Trish is so much about family, that she encouraged her daughter-in-law to audit the stores with her. She enjoyed the extra time with her—and for a brief stint, with her son, while he worked as an auditor, too. Trish was able to impart auditing best practices and give practical advice about nurturing relationships within the stores. Now that her son’s family is expanding (baby Ollie was born in February 2024), Trish is working with an Audit Supervisor that has aspirations of running a division. She has been able to enjoy the full benefits of designing her workweek so that she has maximum time with the new grandbaby.
Future With Quantum Services
As for her plans with Quantum Services, Trish will continue applying her ability to look for the details, the little signs that help her find hidden merchandise like the time she uncovered a display full of chargers wrapped as a holiday present! She also plans to travel so that she can get the last 20 states crossed off her bucket list. Whether she is active at work, in her community, or with her family, Trish’s dogmatic nature brings a down-to-earth touch to get the stores counted the right way, the first time.
